Fast Facts

  • Grades: K - 5 (Minimum Age 5)
  • Time: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday. Drop-in days are not available for this program.
  • Groups: Trail groups are age- and grade-specific, climbing groups are skill-based, counselor/camper ratio is 1:6.
  • Activities: Each session will include an adventure day, along with a curriculum-based Discovery Hike, one half-day of fine-tuning climbing skills at the Breckenridge Recreation Center's indoor climbing wall, a large-group game, and two half-days of outdoor climbing around the county with experienced guides.
  • Family Night: Thursdays, 5:00 PM, join your campers and watch a video slideshow of their session. Location TBA.
  • Drop-off/Pick-up Location: Summit High School at Farmer’s Corner
  • Weekly Fee: $425
  • Discounts: 5% Multi-child and 5% multi-session discounts are available and will be added in automatically during registration. Financial aid is available to qualifying applicants.
  • Wednesday Overnights: Optional overnights are $80 and include an evening program plus dinner, breakfast, and lunch the following day. Overnight activities may include fishing, archery, and campfires.

SESSION 1: Party like a ROCKstar!

Dates: Monday, June 19 - Friday, June 23
Fee: $425

Live a day in the life of an ever-changing rock and find out what minerals make up some of your everyday climbing tools.

Adventure Day: Visit the Gem and Mineral exhibit at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and ride a historic train

SESSION 2: Monkeying Around
Dates: Monday, June 26 - Friday, June 30
Fee: $425

Learn about primates and their special adaptations while monkeying around. 

Adventure Day: Visit the primates at the Denver Zoo and go on a zip line adventure
