Who: For 1st-12th grade classes
Keystone Science School is proud to provide schools with unique overnight field trips that combine Science, Adventure, and Fun! Each outdoor education and environmental education field trip we create is tailored to the goals of each participating school. Located in a high mountain environment outside Denver, our classroom is the forest, streams, and alpine tundra where students can be outside and adventuring.

September 22-24, 2023
Who: For girls in 4th-8th grade
In partnership with Breckenridge Film Festival, participating girls will learn about careers within the film industry as they produce their own short films. All students will create their own film, and each girl will have support from a variety of females currently working in the film industry like cinematographers, directors, producers and more!

Who: Kindergarten - 8th grade
Harvest Camp is an opportunity for campers new and returning to connect to the wonders of autumn at Keystone Science School. Come enjoy all the fun the Halloween and Dia De Los Muertos season offers. We'll explore the ways our natural environment has changed from summer to fall and study flora and fauna in transition. As always, our programming is age-specific and focuses on building skills, knowledge, and confidence. Harvest Camp is a great opportunity for your child to cultivate independence, learn about the natural world, and have loads of fun in a safe setting full of new friends!

Keystone Science School’s Girls in STEM: Water in the West focuses on addressing challenges experienced by women interested in pursuing STEM-specific education and careers. Participants will learn about water management in Colorado and the western United States as they come to a consensus around solutions to a water management problem.

Who: For teachers and outdoor educators
Beyond the Classroom is a 2-day professional development workshop for 4th-12th grade classroom teachers and informal educators held in Keystone, Colorado. Teachers will receive curriculum and training to explore local and regional issues using Keystone Science School’s non-biased framework. Participating teachers will receive training and a complete set of lesson plans allowing teachers to facilitate an issues-based curriculum within their classroom.

Who: High School Students in Colorado
H2O Outdoors is a 3-day program teaching high school students about the many uses of water and the policy which surrounds how Colorado's water is managed. Throughout the program students will be learning about careers within water management, conducting field-based research, and visiting several key locations in Summit County, Colorado as they learn about the various stakeholders who work to manage our water.

June - August
Who: 1st - 8th grade
Utilizing our 23 acre campus and surrounding areas of the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, Keystone Science School offers a traditional camp experience with a mix of Science, Adventure, FUN! 1 or 2 week long sessions are offered each week from June until August. Campers will have the opportunity to sleep in our dorms or one of our canvas tents. Each session follows the same core activities and adventures with a different science theme hidden in each week.

Who: 6th-12th grade
Our field-based Adentures are focused on the development of outdoor skills and leadership while exploring Colorado’s stunning parks, monuments, and most scenic natural environments by foot, on rope, or watercraft. Gain outdoor skills, appreciation for the natural world, and lifelong friendships while cooking together and sleeping in a tent under the stars. Every Adventure features the same core set of leadership, leave no trace, and outdoor living skills.
