We are proud of the impact Keystone Science School has on its participants, whether in summer camp or an outdoor education program. Through scholarships, subsidized rates and local outreach, our programs impact the lives of the youth who visit by teaching environmental science and instilling an appreciation for the outdoors. Our “Mission Moments” share this impact through the words of participating students and teachers along with the instructors and mentors that help run these programs.
Silverthorne Elementary Overnight
Silverthorne Elementary School joined us for an overnight outdoor education program, where they learned about astronomy using our observatory and telescopes! We are proud to offer this experience to local students, showing them the significance of the science of the outdoors that is in their own backyard.
West Grand Middle School
West Grand Middle School attended an Outdoor Education Program at KSS, and this trip helped make the outdoors more accessible to some students who lacked this access beforehand. They learned about Watersheds & Water Management, participated in a town hall activity, and learned to cross-country ski!
