Day Camp & Pathfinders Drop-off

For our Day Camps and Pathfinders, our drop-off process is from the car, so we ask that guardians say their goodbyes and sunscreen prior to arrival. As much as we would like to make drop-off quick and easy, the first day of each session can be a little slower, so please give yourself additional time for the check-in process!

Once you arrive, you will join a line of cars in the driveway and we will electronically check in your camper at the vehicle. Your camper will be dropped off at the front of our campus to join their group for the day. If a guardian needs to get out of their car at any time, we ask that the family park in our parking lot after checking in and walk the camper up to the front of the Tieken office building to join their group.

Day Camp & Pathfinders Pickup

At the end of the day, our campers are dirty, happy and tired. Pickup is similar to drop-off. We begin the checkout process no sooner than 4:30pm. We are not usually able to accommodate early pickups, so please ensure you communicate early pickups by calling our main phone line, 970-468-209. You will check out your camper at your vehicle using your unique PIN# randomly assigned to your KSS Online Account. This PIN# is in your account and will be emailed to you at the sta

Day Camp & Pathfinders Parent Presentations

This presentation typically lasts 45 minutes and is a mix of camper performances and a video highlighting photos and videos captured during the week. At the conclusion of the presentation, you will have a chance to chat with counselors, browse lost and found, and shop at the camp store!

Discovery Camp Check-in

Our Discovery Camp check-in is a great opportunity for our parents and campers to get familiar with the campus while ensuring they are set up at camp prior to their guardians leaving for the week. We ask families to give themselves 60 minutes or more for the check-in process.

When families arrive, they will park in front of our main administrative building, Tieken Place. Our families will line up at the orange tents to check in. We begin check-in at exactly 12pm (CAPs check in at 10:30am). Families will be given a passport of checkpoints to visit throughout the process which includes stops with our camp nurse, chef, and counselor meet and greets. When they reach the final checkpoint, “Ready to Launch”, that is the time for parents to depart and let their camper join the greater camp group.

Discovery Camp Check Out and Parent Presentation

We want our camp families to experience the Science, Adventure, FUN their campers experienced throughout the week. We include this presentation as part of the checkout process. Please arrive at 10 am and allow for 60 minutes or more for the parent presentation and check-out process. The presentation is a mix of camper performances and a video highlighting photos and videos captured throughout the week. At the conclusion of the presentation, you will have a chance to chat with counselors, browse lost and found, and shop at the camp store!

Adventures Check In

Our Adventure program check-in is an opportunity for our parents and students to get familiar with the itinerary for the program, meet instructors, and fellow students. We ask families to give themselves 30 minutes for check-in. When families arrive, they will park in front of our main administrative building, Tieken Place. Our families will line up at the orange tents to check in which will begin check-in at exactly 10am. Families will be directed to meet their group and follow the remainder of the check-in process.

Adventures Check-Out and Parent Presentation

Adventure program check outs are similar to the check-in process. Please allow 30-45 minutes for this check out process. Parents will check their student out, and attend a small presentation and debrief of the program where we will go over what the students did as well as giving feedback on student participation during the program.

Whether day camp & Pathfinders, Discovery camp, or Adventures, we want to bring our parents along for the ride. We look forward to seeing you!
